Directions
Winthrop United Methodist Church is located at 58 Main Street, in Winthrop.
The church is conveniently located about 10 miles from Augusta, and about 20 miles from Lewiston/Auburn, in the downtown area of Winthrop. We are across from the Winthrop House of Pizza, and next to the Dead River station.

Parking
Parking is available on either side of the church, next door at 72 Main Street, and in the Winthrop House of Pizza parking lot across the street (on Sunday mornings only), as well as on Main Street. Please respect the signs designating customer parking placed by Winthrop House of Pizza and Dead River.

Ned Crockett
Pastor
Pastor Ned S. Crockett was born in Augusta, Maine. He earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maine at Orono and a Master of Divinity from Bangor Theological Seminary where he received the Hoyt Hickman Award for outstanding liturgical scholarship and practice.
Pastor Ned has served churches in North Jay, North Vienna, and Skowhegan before being appointed back to his home church in July of 2011. Ned and his wife Melanie are thankful to back in the community they love so much, “It’s nice to be home”. Ned has a passion for community involvement and serves as a chaplain for the Winthrop Police Department, is a board member of the Winthrop Hot Meals Kitchen, President of the Board of Directors for the Winthrop Food Bank, and also serves as a chaplain for Maine General Medical Center.
Pastor Ned also lives out his passion for mission through his position as Director of Missions at Camp Mechuwana (United Methodist Camp) where he helps coordinate mission teams from around the country with projects in the Central Maine area.
On his own time, Pastor Ned likes spending time with his wife Melanie, his grandkids Abel and Elliot and time at his camp on Moosehead Lake where he enjoys fly fishing and bird hunting with his dog, Vesper.
Ned and Melanie have two grown children, Sarah and Stephen.
